So you’ve been smoking weed awhile now and you’re learning more about cannabis and all of it’s wonderful components. There’s so much information out there on THC and CBD, so what are Terpenes? (A couple years back we talked about them after a contributor attended a talk by Dr. Ethan Russo)
Terpenes are oils responsible for the smell and taste that slap your nose and taste buds, they interact with your endocannabinoid system in a similar way to cannabinoids and can also affect the neurotransmitters in the brain.
Since terpenes offer many other medicinal benefits, it’s something that should be explored more. The awesome people at Greencamp.com (their original post linked) sent over a interactive guide on many common terpenes in cannabis and the benefits they provide.
I hope that you enjoy this post as much as I do as it’ll help us understand cannabis a bit more.
